Support Bingo, Keep Grandma off the streets!

This is my first attempt at a twisted easel card.  I wanted to use a pre made 5x7 card so that it would be a bit taller to showcase the whole bingo card as the front.  The bingo card paper I got from a matt stack by K & Company.
I don't know if the 'Amazing Savings' stores are nationwide, but I do find great papers there at a fraction of the cost.  They also sell other scrapbooking items but I have not had much luck with their tapes, glues or paper cutters.
The Stamp is a from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ and I colored her using copics and pro markers.  I used a corner rounder and matted her with a few thickness of double sided tape so that she would hold up the card.
I sent this to my Mom, who used to be an avid bingo player.  She doesn't get out much anymore at the age of 88, but she got a kick out of it.

Valentine Cupid

This cute little cupid is from Justinklined.com.  I colored it with copics and pro markers.  I used a nestabilities to cut his frame and then ran that through the cuttlebug using the circles folder.  I used a pre made 5 x 7 card and just folded the top edge to make the step.  I really enjoy making the steps and the recipients love that they can display them so easily too.  I used papers from my stash and cut the border using a fiskars punch,  I printed the sentiment from my computer and used a couple of buttons on the edges to help stabilize it when it is open

"The nice nurse is on vacation"

This is another easel card.  I really like to give these as desk top decoration.  I made this for a friend who manages a surgeon's office and she got such a kick out of displaying this on the front desk.
The image is from a Bugaboo digi stamp. I Bought this awhile ago and forgot that I had it.   They have so many cute digi's!
The papers are from K and Company.  I used my nestabilities to cut the scallop circle behind her and also for the sentiment frame.  I colored her with pro markers and use my swiss dots folder for the framing behind her.

it's hard to be a twinkie in a ding dong world

I just came  across a great site called: http://artwithnoboundaries.blogspot.com/
They have a challenge called "express yourself"
When I saw this image, not only did it amuse me, but I just loved the spirit of her actions and expression.  It reminded me that every year I make the resolution to get in shape, back on my diet, back to the gym, etc.  For the first two weeks, I'm highly motivated.  However, when I do not see instant results;did someone say "IGF" person? (  - instant gratification person)  Yes!  Guilty as charged;  Well, I tend to slack off.  So I am sending this to a few of my friends for inspiration and motivation to just keep with it and simply enjoy the moment.
This digi is from http://www.justinklined.com/index.php?route=common/home   I colored her using copics and pro markers.  I used a spellbinders die to cut the scalloped circle behind her from a DCWV paper from their Metalics stack. I used nail art nail polish glitter to highlight her wings.  (I buy those in the dollar store and I love that they leave a nice gloss, have the perfect, thin brush and dry instantly.)   I used a Martha stewart punch for the border edges.  The image papers are from K& company.  This is the first time I made a "step card" following the tutorial from a great site called "cardmakingmagic.com"  She does beautiful work and has such a calming, sweet manner in her videos.  The sentiment is fromhttp://beyondthefringecrafts.blogspot.com/2011/03/tim-hawkins-inspired-digi-sentiment.html  (Thanks Carmen) .

another love day

This is another easel using a Simply Betty.  I just love their stamps.  Unique, fun and great quality and friendly customer service.  I colored her using copics and pro markers.  I added the glitter heart to the bag by simply drawing it in to give it more of a valentine's feel.  I used my spell binders to cut the frame around the sentiment and added rhinestones to the corners for weight.  The paper is from K & Company and I used ribbon from Michaels.  I am entering this in the following challenges:

Happy Love Day

This is my first attempt at an easel card.  I used a  rubber stamp image from Simply Betty Valentine Steampunks new releases..They are simply adorable! I colored her using copics and pro markers.  I used my nestabilities to cut the frame from a metalic pink card stock, then matted that on black, pink and burgundy card stocks.  I used a fiskars border punch for the strip on the bottom and the paper is from DCWV.  I printed the "Happy Love Day" on my computer and cut out a nestabilities from their label dies.  I added clear rhinestones that I colored with my red ink stamp on the corners to give it weight and stability to hold up the card.

This is a simple card that I made using an image from Freedigitalstamps.com. I colored using copic markers and matted from my paper stash. The card itself was from a Spotted Canary pad of double sided papers that I simply folded and attached a white satin ribbon and bow through the cut out areas already on the paper. valentine voodo

This is another free digi image that I found at http://www.wonderstrange.com/category/freebies/.
I colored it with copic and pro markers.  I used a fiskars border punch for the backing paper from scraps that I had.  I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder for the matting under the image. I printed the sentiment on my computer, but it with fiskars decorative edge scissors.  I used a cream colored satin ribbon and tied it in a bow.

This is another great digi that I got from http://onkel-toms-huette.blogspot.com/
I used copic markers amd went over parts of the dress with clear, glitter nail polish. I cut her frame with a nestabilities in my cuttlebug. The background paper is from DCWV glitter mat stack and I used a Martha Stewart hand punch to make the small heart cut outs. I printed the sentiment on my computer and added it under her before I printed it out.

This is another digi that I found at Dudetimedoodles.com
I kept this fairly simple.. cut him out using a nestabilities frame in my cuttlebug, then I colored using copic and pro markers. I went around the edges with some clear, glittered nail polish. I love the shimmer and texture it gives and dries instantly. I cut the edges of the red mat using fiskars decorative edge scissors. I printed the sentiment on my computer and matted that on a nestabilities label die cut. I used a black and white checkboard background paper that I got from DCWV, that I was able to pick up in tj max for a steal. Lately, i've been finding paper crafting things in Marshalls and TJ Max.. but it's usually a hit or miss. I also just found some nice papers in Amazing Savings

I am participating in the http://littlemissmuffetchallenges.blogspot.com/2012/01/challenge-26-something-new.html
and also at pile it on.

This is a digi that I got from http://freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com/
Every day they post free digital images that they find from all over.. A great site and so generous of them to do that.
I used some copic and pro markers. I'm just learning, still not quite there yet with getting the highlighting and shading just right, but there are so many great tutorials out there. I ran white card stock through the cuttle bug swiss dots folder, then I used a fiskers punch for the edges. I used nestabilities to cut the circles and ran them through the cuttlebug . I typed the sentiment on my computer. Again, using cuttlebug, I embossed the silver paper that I got at Michaels in their 1/2 pound scrap package that they seem to have for each season. I also used the fiskars heart punch for the bottom edge
