Wine flies when you are having fun

This image is from Bugaboo.  I love their digis.... The sentiment is from Rubbernecker stamps.  I colored with copic and pro markers and used liquid glass.  I am entering the following challenges:

"Bah Humbug"

I am definitely not someone who has a "Bah Humbug" attitude.  I am really enjoying the Christmas spirit.   I love decorating my home, inside and out, and planning my menus for parties and holiday gatherings.   However, I could not resist this adorable image that I found on Free digital stamps.com... I can not remember where, but I will try to find out who so generously shared this quirky charecter.
I colored her using copics, pro and noir markers.  I used my Marftha Stewart punch for the boarder and the papers are from K & Co.

When you stop believing in Santa......

"When you stop believing in Santa, You get underwear"!

I need to make quite a few Adult cards this year, so I wanted something simple, sexy and quick.
This is a easy, one layer,  card using the corset  stamp from  www.Rubbernecker.com.
I ran the front of the card through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder.  I then stamped the image on white card stock using red ink, cut it out, and added some sheer ribbon at the back of the garters.  I popped it up just slightly on foam tape and inked the edges.  I've also done it in black and white and added some embellishments.
Here is is the inside:  I found this in Michaels discount bin.

Here it is in Black and white with just a touch of pink.  I plan to do a few more in different colors.

Christmas Breakfast at Tiffany's

I just love this image from http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/
It will soon be retired,  I am so glad I bought it.

I colored her using  copics, pro and Noir markers.  I used nail polish glitter for her necklace.  The strips of metalic silver that I cut and rounded the corners with a Martha Stewart punch are from recycled packaging.  The ribbon is threaded through another Martha Stewart punch and the Snow flake is Fiskars.  I added "Cat" from another stamp set that I had.  The sentiment is a Michaels or AC Moore $ wooden stamp.

It's only November

I've been seeing Christmas merchandise in the stores before Halloween.  My town even put up it's street decor last week.
I saw this cute image on facebook and knew it would make a fast and easy, but totally adorable Thanksgiving quickie..I sent out 8 that I made today.
IT says:  "DECEMBER, Fat BOY!  This month is for MY Holiday!  Now hop on the sleigh and WAIT your TURN!!!

The papers are from DCWV. I inked the edges.  The inside sentiments are from Inkadinadoo.
Here is the inside:
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

It says:  "

Marilyn is retiring!

I am so glad I bought the "sassy Marilyn" before she was retired at http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/
If you are not familiar with their images, please check them out.  They are great!  They also have a "freebie Friday" every week and they give the best digis.  Always something current and appropriate for the season.  They also have the most fun blog hops and sponsor quite a few challenges.
Here is what I did with the "Marilyn"   I made it a christmas card by adding the die cut, glitter presents to the front.  I cut the frame with a Martha Stewart punch and used the swiss dots folder in the cuttlebug.  I colored her with a mix of copic, pro and noir markers.

I also used my embossing pen and Martha stewart embossing power for the first time.  I loved the way the signature came out and it will be my new favorite embellishment.  I was impressed with the pen.  For some reason, when I used an ink stamp pad, I don't get good results.. not sure why, but I know I need to practice.  I used Rubbernecker stamps for the sentiment and added the "Christmas"  I also used their fabulous stamp that measures around 4x6 and simply masked off the sentiment that I put down first.

Hats off to you

I found this template at a site called Karlum.com...unfortunately, the page no longer exists.  Glad that I printed two copies since I used one to make the shape of the card and the other to cut up into segments to add texture and/or different papers.  I used my cuttlebug on the top half.  I used pearlescent papers so that the skin looks natural.  I tried to add a little depth with copic and pro markers.  I used pearl gems for the necklace and a stamp for the sentiment.

Today is Halloween in New Jersey

Due to the storm, Our Governor has declared today, the official day of Halloween, for our young, trick or treaters who missed out.
There are still so many without power, heat, etc.  The devastation and loss keeps unfolding, everyday.
However,  there is a strong sense of community and a spirit of positive productivity that keeps us moving forward to preserve and restore what we have come to love about New Jersey and New York's coast line.
I for one, will be glad to see the children come to my door with a smile on their faces.
So here is a Thank you card that I made for my friend who gave an awesome Halloween Party, just in the knick of time... My husband won the "best costume prize"
He was the mad hatter and I was the queen of hearts.

My card was made using a Simply Betty Digi stamp and the couch was another digi that I bought as a salon set.  (I hate when I don't label when I save them)  I think the company was called Sassy Digital Stamps.  Not to be confused with http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/.  They are one of my favorites with the best "girl friend/celebrity inspired images.
I will try to find out if anyone needs it.. They also had great background images with salon elements and I also bought another one from them that had red capet and movie set images.. they were fabulous!
My papers were from DCWV and the embellishments were from TJ max...
I bought a crafters companion when I saw how beautiful Louise of http://myworld-marie-louise.blogspot.com/ made her cards and envelopes...I made my first "envelobox"
I need some practice, but it was fun and fit the card perfectly.

Halloween rescheduled!

Being without power for a few days gave me plenty of opportunity to stamp and color in daylight.

I was luckier than most, here in New Jersey, I lost part of my roof and inside ceilings are a mess, as a result of the water coming in.  So many people have lost so much in the NJ/NYC areas...Devastating!  and quite a shock...
We have never seen such a weather phenomenon.
Our beaches and boardwalks are destroyed.  So many of us have such fond memories.  Everyone from every part of New Jersey went "down the shore"  and experienced the decadence of adolescents.
But our reputation of being "high spirited" will get us through and we will rebuild!
In fact, Halloween was a bust, but our Governor simply decided to "make it work" by changing it until November 3rd.
So, I figured I can still get some cards out in the mail and be on time for OUR Halloween.

This one is for one of my favorite clients.  Her granddaughter is just crazy about Minnie Mouse.  She is the most adorable and precocious three year old.    Every time she come to my salon, she is wearing some cute Disney outfit or accessory and is so eager and excited to tell me about it.
 SO this is for Alexis:
I found this image on Disneycoloring pages...lots of cute images there.  I punched a hole in the front of a square card using my nestabilities and cuttlebug.  The pumpkins on the bottom and blingy bats and boo were from a package I found in TJ Max, along with some Martha stewart punches that I used to make the spider web.  Glued on the large rhinestones.  Here is the inside:

"Rest in Pee"

This image is from a UK company called Just ink Lined....They have some really cool digis.
This is the first time I made a circle card and wish it was a bit larger.  I used my circles from my nestabilities in the cuttlebug and the papers are from K & Company.  I used pro markers, copics and Noir markers to color.
Since there was no room to write a sentiment, I finished the back with stamps from Studio G.
and a Martha Stewart Spider web punch across the top.

Off with their heads!

This fabulous Red Queen image is from SimplyBettyStamps.com  She frequently has sales on Digis.
It is also my chosen Halloween costume this year.  My Dear, Sweet, Handsome Husband is going to be the Mad Hatter.  I am so looking forward to doing his makeup.
My friend, who has an amazing house in the land of the "Housewives of New Jersey" does the most incredible job of decorating her home.  It is gorgeous and looks like a Movie Set.  There will be lots of great food and nice people.  I do Love Halloween!
I dug out my Cricut and Gypsy and tried to do a shaped card using the frame from the Hauntings cartridge.  Let's just say,, I need a lot more practice and patients.  So, I cut it and used half of it for the frame behind the image and then used my Martha Stewart punches to create the edge and the little hearts.  I colored her using copics, pro and Noir markers.

Birthdays are like.....

"Birthdays are like Boogies, the more you have; the harder it is to breathe"

I saw this sentiment a long time ago and I do not know where or who came up with this original...The digi is from SimplyBettyStamps.com
I cut the frames with a nestabilities and ran it through my cuttlebug using the steampunk folder.  I also found some inexpensive folders in A.C. Moore and I ran the front cover in the card through one that gave it a cool texture of stripes.  I colored it using a mix of copics, pro markers and Noir.
This is the inside.  I added some foiled embellies and an inkadinkadoo stamp.
My first attempt at an envelope using the Martha Stewart Score board and punch.  I also lined it with a paper that I also ran through the cuttlebug striped folder.

This is a belated birthday card going to my Brother in Law.  He has four young children.  I am sure they will find it hilarious.

The Key to My Heart

Another simple, Kraftin Kimmie Stamped card.
I colored her with a mix of pro, copic and Noir markers.  I stamped directly on a pre made card that I found in Walmart's dollar section.  The stamp is from Michaels dollar bin and says "you hold the key to my heart"  I had the die cut of the key in my stash.  It's hard to see, but her outfit looks like Gold Lame.. I used my nail polish. gold,  glitter over it after coloring it in with a bright yellow marker.  I did the same on her compact and lipstick.. just a touch of bling that looks better in person.  I tucked it into my Husband's brief case this morning.

Have a Jolly Good Day

Here is another KraftinKimmie Stamp.
I just wanted to make a simple, cute, "just because" card.
I used a pre made card that I found in the Walmart craft department,  dollar bin.  I think it is 4x6.  The colors of the copic, pro and Noir markers that I used did bleed through to the back, so I lined the inside with a pretty coordinating paper.  I did ink the edges in Pink, although it is hard to see.

Cinderella in the Ghetto

I found something similiar being passed around on facebook and just thought it was really amusing.
The original had a animated disney version of Cinderella on the stairs.. I photoshoped her out (actually used the "paint" program and kept clicking on the different colors in the stairs with the ink dropper tool to get the right color, then airbrused over her to make the stairs empty...I used a Kraftin Kimmie C inderella image and fussy cut her and popped her up on two thickness of foam tape.  I colored her using copics, pro markers and some of the Noir markers.  My papers are from DCWV and ribbon is from my stash.

Sweet little one

Posted by PicasaThis is a card for my cousin who just had an adorable baby boy.
I used a KraftinKimmie Stamp.  Colored her using copics, pro markers and a few of the spectrum noir makers ( I like them as much as the pro markers for small spaces, but I like copics tips the best)
The papers are most from DCWV and some from my stash.  I used my nestabilities for the frames.  I folded a 5x7 across the middle to make an easel card, but I cut about an inch off  the side to make it more square.  I also did the same to the matching envelope and just reglued it.  The sentiment stamp on the inside is one I found in a dollar bin in Michales or AC Moore...it says, "congratulations, now you can shop for a whole new wardrobe.  The corners are a cute little family with a Martha Stewart punch that I scored in T J max.  Wish I could have found the coordinating stamp, I just have the corner one.  Ribbons, buttons, flowers and bling are from my stash.

"Well Heeled"

Another get well card.. This one is a simple digi stamp that I found on Freedigistamps.com...I Love the frame of shoes and boots and the caption says, "I hope you are soon well heeled"  I also cut out a little mule shaped shoe and pop them both up with foam tape.  I used the cuttlebug and a nestabilites oval, scalloped die,  I saved the scalloped cut out frame for another project and used the negative space on the paper to place the oval sentiment on 2 thickness of foam tape, so it really pops...I cut the boarders with a Martha Stewart punch.

When in doubt, dance!

I've had my cast and brace off for over 4 weeks.  I am in physical therapy trying to get my hand and shoulder back to it's full range of motion.  I assumed that once the broken bones in the wrist and arm were healed, I'd be back to normal (physically at least, LOL)...However, getting old truly "is not for sissy's)  From being immobilized and fractured, my wrist and hand have become stiff and non cooperative with my will.... As much as I want to  be able to turn my hand over as if I was carrying a tray, I simply can not.  It is rather frustrating, but luckily it was my left arm and I am a " righty"  So I am able to still craft.
Here is a set of cards that I made to match the prior card I made for my elderly Aunt who is recovering from knee surgery in a rehab center.  She is the sweetest, sharpest woman who truly enjoys and appreciates every little detail of my work.  Whenever I have sent her a card, she immediately sends me a thank you card noticing every little detail.  So I know she will be thrilled to receive this little package that I customized for her to send to her friends and family while she is recovering.
It's a simple design using a Kraftin Kimmie Stamp and minimal coloring and a bit of bling with some glitter nail polish.

I made 6 cards with matching envelopes

Then I wrapped them in a simple grograin ribbon with a die cut from my stash and a folded doily.

Kick up your heels

I made this card for my Aunt, who will soon be undergoing knee replacement surgery.
I used a KRAFTIN KIMMIE Stamp.  Colored with copic and pro markers.  Papers are from K & Co.  It's 5x7 The background stamp is a fun one full of shoes and bags and that is from RUBBERNECKER STAMPS.    I just found them at the scrapbook expo in Somerset, NJ. The feather and flowers are from my stash.
I will be attending the Pennsylvania expo this weekend with my dear sweet husband who offered to drive me there, since I still do not have full mobility in my left hand or wrist.  Besides, who would carry all of my loot!?  He is so supportive of my craft and my biggest fan.

Here is the inside.  I used a few different stamp sets to say;  "I hear  you've put on your dancing shoes.    Hope you feel better soon"  I cut the border with a Martha Stewart punch.

THE BEST THING YOU CAN GIVE YOUR CHILDREN...

ARE GOOD MEMORIES...

This is a "just because" card for my Mom.
The adorable image is a rubber  stamp  from Kraftin Kimmie.
I attended the Scrapbook expo in Somerset, NJ last week.
I had to go into work on Saturday...(I did get my cast off, but still a lot of swelling, pain and limited mobility) So, I got to the show very late.  However, I did find some amazing stamps @ Rubbernecker stamps and some great bargins on sentiment stamps.
I can't wait until I have full use of both hands so that I can really create with all of my new "toys"
The front sentiment "the best thing you can give your children are good Memories was from a set I bought there called cloud 9.

The inside sentiment
 is from
 another
 stamp set
 by cloud 9
 called
 simple
 thoughts
"marriage"
